tournaments worldwide. We have reached No 1 in the App Store Sports
category in 18 countries and been voted among the Ten Best Sports Apps in
2016 (iTopNews). So where to go from here?

The increasing amount of feedback from our users tells us two things: The
app has been very well received. And still has room for great improvements.
We won't go into details here, but the wish list is long. Very long. We
just need to find the time to deal with it. We have simply reached a limit
when it comes to expenses and time available. So to be able to realise the
Groundhopper app's full potential we need to think of a business plan.

Introducing: Groundhopper Premium.

There won't be a free and a paid version of the app anymore. There will be
one Groundhopper version (for iOS and Android) which is free to download
and offers the same as the free version does today. The content and
features available in the paid version are now offered via an in-app
subscription called "Groundhopper Premium". To access the Premium features,
such as fixture lists, historical results and matches nearby, you will need
to pay a small monthly fee, or a slightly larger annual one. The
subscription will of course also include all the future Premium features as
they are launched down the road.

But wait, you say. I have already paid for this app!
In this case you will continue to have access to the same content and
features for quite some time still.

If you bought the app before January 1 2017 you will have "Premium access"
until April 1 2018.

If you bought it in 2017 you have access until July 1 2018.

To continue enjoying the full features of Groundhopper you will have to buy
a subscription no later than this date.

The free version will now be discontinued, so if you're using this version
please install the new version instead. You can continue to use the same
account and access all your registered matches just as before.

We hope that you will be increasingly happy with the Groundhopper app in
the years to come!

Für lau oder gegen eine einmalige Summe ist zwar immer schöner, aber wenn sie es preislich nicht übertreiben, könnte ich mit dem Abo-Modell leben. Die App ist schon richtig geil und hat sich in den letzten Jahren unheimlich weiterentwickelt.
